🤗 September is just around the corner, giving us once again the opportunity to become students of life and start the new term like a blank page, waiting to be filled with our actions, decisions, and learnings. That's why, as we leave behind the hot days of summer—though that won't be happening too soon—it will be natural to delve into a time of reflection and renewal. From here, on this occasion, we invite you to contemplate the journey so far and to chart plans for the future we wish to build.

📬 In this newsletter, we want you to join the resistance: supporting the social and political commitment of a historic Argentine magazine; addressing sustainable development goals, such as gender equality and the creation of culture through the cinematic fiction of a Mallorcan short film; and getting entangled with heritage alongside a multidisciplinary and creative space in La Parrilla (Valladolid). All set? Let's get to it!

Printing is resisting 🗞️

Imprimir 🫧

💪🏼 "Revista Crisis" is a journalistic project that emerged in Argentina in 1973, known for its quality, blend of narratives, and social and political commitment. It was closed during the military dictatorship in 1976 and returned in the 1980s after the restoration of democracy. However, the economic crisis limited its continuity.

🗞️ In 2010, an editorial collective revived the magazine in different formats and languages, maintaining the print version that is released every two months. Nevertheless, inflation and the concentration of the paper industry in Argentina have impacted its funding, prompting them to seek support to sustain the print format.

😊 If you wish to join the international solidarity campaign to keep the print magazine running throughout 2024, you can make your contribution in goteo.cc/revistacrisi.

Summer Cemetery 🌞

🌞 "Summer Cemetery" is a short film that aims to finance and produce a work about sexual discovery during the early days of tourism in Mallorca in the 1960s, from a female perspective, where beaches allure with a modern lifestyle while in Campanet, an inland town, life is more traditional and chaste.

🌊 The project seeks to address sustainable development goals, such as gender equality and the creation of culture through cinematic fiction. It offers rewards to collaborators, including early access to the short film, credits acknowledgment, links to the making-of, and memorabilia related to the project.

"Enredada con el patrimonio" Hub 🏛️

Cementeri 🫧

🎭 "Enredada con el patrimonio" aims to promote a multidisciplinary and creative space in La Parrilla (Valladolid) that generates cultural activities related to art, history, heritage, and performing arts in the rural environment.

🌟 One of the most important challenges to overcome is the lack of a space for creation and work. To continue growing, it is necessary to have a workshop and administrative area that allows for effective and quality work development. Additionally, the goal is to expand services to offer a diverse range of educational and cultural activities linked to cultural heritage. Particularly, emphasis will be placed on the intangible heritage related to performing arts, such as oral storytelling and puppets, representative of Castilla y León.

💨 Contribute and you'll be able to enjoy rewards like a guided tour on the "Barco de los seis chozos" in Villabañez, an exclusive tote bag designed by an illustrator from Castilla y León, an exclusive wine bottle, or even become an honorary patron and have a plaque with your name in the space. Join this project that brings culture to the rural world. en goteo.cc/enredadas.
